Operationally they adhere to the following practices:
• All stock erected by their scaffolders is regularly checked for possible damages.
• The sites are assessed for risks such as wind factor, uneven surfaces, possible danger to the public, etc.
• Risks are always communicated to the main contractor on site or to the customer directly, whichever is applicable. Contingency plans are put into place.
• Access equipment is only signed off with a hand over certificate once the scaffolding has been checked and is safe for use. A Safe for Use signboard will then be attached to the access equipment with the date of the inspection and the maximum load allowed.
