Captain Londy Ngcobo - Founder and Director of Womaritime Experts and Global Maritime Youth

A global ship navigator and Africa’s first female dredge master, Captain Londy Ngcobo is passionate about unlocking Africa’s ocean economy.

With over 15 years of experience in the maritime industry, her background includes maritime studies, international merchant shipping experience, advanced dredging from the Netherlands IHC, and an industry-shaking role as a former executive maritime and compliance manager for Transnet National Ports Authority.

She is the chief executive of Womaritime Experts and founder of Global Maritime Youth.

The twelve women featured in the Sep edition of Business Sense, are the first of those that are being recognised in this year’s KZN Top Business Women powered by DRG, BusinessFit and Mangwanani African Spa initiative.
