MD & Partner at Biza iAfrica Thobeka Dlongolo was born in the Eastern Cape in a small town called Bizana. When she completed matric in 1999, Thobeka was unsure of which line of profession to pursue. She eventually decided to study marketing and completed a B-tech Degree at the Durban University of Technology. Thobeka believed that choosing marketing would allow her to start her own business in the future.
In 2007 she joined Biza iAfrica Consultants as a partner. The company was founded by her mother Frances Dlongolo and its core focus was tourism development. In 2005 the company diversified its services and identified an opportunity in the landscaping and park development field.
When Thobeka joined Biza iAfrica, her focus was to develop and grow the company. Determined to be recognised and succeed in a white male dominated industry, Thobeka and her mother have worked tirelessly and been able to grow the company from strength to strength.
