Invest Durban was a proud sponsor of the MANCOSA East Coast Radio Business Breakfast, which was held on Thursday, 11 April 2024, at Durban’s ICC.
The theme of this year’s breakfast was #From Dreams to Legacy. The aim of the breakfast was to inspire individuals to act and follow their dreams in order to reach their goals.
Russel Curtis Head Invest Durban commented, “We were delighted to participate in the MANCOSA East Coast Radio Business Breakfast, which is in line with our goal of promoting business investment in the region.”
The target audience for the breakfast included potential business people, entrepreneurs, as well as extended to working professionals and chief executive officers.
Importantly, the event included a focus on ‘Business with a purpose’ which emphasised the impact of any initiatives on the business world and communities.
Curtis added, “Globally the concept of sustainability has become a cornerstone of effective business practice. This concept has been formalised in the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are a protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. Recently, Invest Durban became one of the 14 signatories at the World Economic Forum to champion the establishment of a Climate Foreign Direct investment Coalition. Through the Coalition we aim to share best practices, offer mutual support, and foster collaboration at a regional level. The initiative’s aim is to explore and facilitate green investment opportunities, contributing to climate-aligned growth and development.”
The business breakfast provided an opportunity to obtain insights from some renowned speakers call to action to end poverty, who are experts in their fields.
