Mbasane Women in IT

Mbasane Women in IT provides these services in collaboration with ICT industry players that offer core ICT skills

Mbasane Women in IT is an ICT organisation focused on upskilling and empowering unemployed female ICT graduates with digital and technical skills. Our aim is to help female ICT graduates grow confidence in themselves and their abilities, so that they are more employable, or are able to start their own businesses. Our purpose is to ensure they develop ICT skills to be capable in their roles in the industry, and to be able to compete globally. Our development process includes critical-soft-skills to help ensure we develop well-rounded individuals beyond their ICT capabilities.

We also understand South African and global economic landscape challenges which pose a threat in securing jobs for all. Therefore, we also provide basic business skills to help expand the horizons of female ICT graduates. This ensures that even those aspiring to be entrepreneurs acquire suitable supporting business skills. Our hope is that our supportive development processes help all unemployed ICT female graduates participate in the South African mainstream economy. Mbasane Women in IT provides these services in collaboration with ICT industry players that offer core ICT skills, industry bodies that endorse compliance and governance, and supporting organisations whose goals are aligned with ours. Our ultimate goal is to impart skills and knowledge, to help build a hub of highly skilled ICT women, and to support their meaningful contribution within the economy.
